Now is the Time

“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”

                                                                                     —Neil Gaiman

With the new year ahead, take an opportunity to reflect on the joy and sadness and excitement of the one that has just passed.  Take all of that and use it to help yourself travel towards a better you.  Don’t be afraid to live and travel and do the things that you are most afraid of.  Start living.

Warm Moments

https://i0.wp.com/25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc5jiriic91ql7kuwo2_1280.jpg

With winter and the holidays well on its way, the time has come for cozy moments at home.  Embrace the warm feeling you get while sitting around a table with people you love, enjoying their company, candles burning, and conversation mulling.  There are very few feelings comparable to what is felt in those moments around a warm fire, looking outside at the snow, and remembering how beautiful it is that the seasons change.

We Give Thanks

Life leaves us spun around and easily moved by the every day whirlwind.  It is quite easy to get caught up in life and forget to sit down, think, and give thanks.  Give thanks for each inhale and exhale, for those that love you, for the times that have made you stronger, and for the memories that have yet to come.  There are innumerable amounts of places left to be explored while there is still the rememberance of where you first started.  They say home is where the heart is and I am sure we all have pieces of our hearts in many different places.  Just don’t forget that you were once grounded somewhere, remember that and then take off to wherever you feel as if you need to be.  Don’t be afraid of the wind.

Wander On

It is easy to get caught up in the busy streets and city hustle that we often forget about the world where skyscrapers are trees and cement sidewalks are grass fields.  When we take a moment to think about all of the world that there is to explore we remember that we are natural born wanderers.  Born into a world where sunshine and fresh air are essential to happiness and that there are innumerable paths waiting to be explored.  So wander on…

Everyday Extraordinary

“Don’t compare anything – prices, standards of hygiene, quality of life, means of transport, nothing! You are not traveling in order to prove that you have a better life than other people – your aim is to find out how other people live, what they can teach you, how they deal with reality and with the extraordinary.”

-Paulo Coehlo
